Enjoy your homemade chicken and broccoli casserole! You can customize it with your favorite seasonings and ingredients as well. You may use chicken breast or any part of deboned chicken.
4 cups broccoli florets 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded ½ cup heavy cream ¼ cup chicken broth ¼ cup almond flour 2 tbsp butter 2 tbsp onion, chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 tsp dried basil Salt and black pepper, to taste
Directions
Preheat the oven to 375F (190°C). Steam the broccoli florets until they are slightly tender, about 5 minutes. Put the non-stick skillet over medium heat, melt the butter, and sauté for 3-4 minutes.
Add the almond flour to the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes until it browns. Slowly whisk in the heavy cream and chicken broth. Cook the mixture for 5 minutes. Add the chicken, broccoli, basil, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Mix well.
Transfer the mixture to a rectangular baking dish. Sprinkle the cheddar cheese on top of the chicken and broccoli mixture. Bake for 23-25 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
