INGREDIENTS
5 cloves of garlic 50g red pepper flakes 2 cups fresh basil 1/3 cup pine nuts 1/2 cup pecorino romano 1/2 cup olive oil
DIRECTIONS
Put garlic, red pepper flakes, fresh basil and pinenuts in mortal and pestle.
Grind slowly.
Meanwhile, put olive oil while grinding and lastly add parmesan cheese.
Another option;
Grab the high power food blender and add all the basil pesto elements.
Process on high speed until the ingredients turn smooth form.
Basil pesto is incredibly versatile. You can use it as a pasta sauce, a spread on sandwiches, a dip for bread, or as a drizzle on grilled vegetables or meats. Enjoy!
